Mr. Balbir Sharma is the Founder and CEO of Economical Movers, bringing nearly four decades of elite industrial leadership experience to the Ontario relocation market. A seasoned technocrat with a career spanning over 38 years, Mr. Sharma’s background is rooted in India’s high-stakes FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods), where operational precision, safety compliance, and strategic scale are the baseline for success.
Before launching Economical Movers in 2021, Mr. Sharma served in several C-suite and senior executive roles, most notably as Vice President – Technical. In these high-level positions, he was responsible for overseeing multi-disciplinary departments, including production management, industrial relations, human resource development, and complex distribution networks.
In 2021, Mr. Sharma identified a gap in the Ontario moving industry for a service that combined industrial-grade logistics with a personalized, client-first approach. He founded Economical Movers with a mission to implement top-tier operational standards across residential and commercial relocations. Drawing on decades of experience in optimizing operations, he has designed a service model that prioritizes trust, strict safety protocols, and transparent, affordable pricing.
Under his visionary leadership, Economical Movers has rapidly expanded its footprint, becoming a dependable partner for families and businesses in Ottawa, Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Kitchener, and Gatineau. Mr. Sharma remains deeply involved in daily operations, personally mentoring his team to ensure that every move is handled with the technical exactness of an industrial operation.
